Painting Auction #47
Here is a small painting I did near home, at the town dock just a mile from my house. This boat, called “Sweet Chariot” is based on the island of Vinalhaven, about 12 miles offshore from my house. The Captain said it was originally from the west coast, and had been built for former Japanese-American internees after WW2, to provide them with work . Interesting that it had made its way all the way to Maine!
Below is how the painting might look if you framed it. This work is painted on oil primed linen and mounted on board.
